The Central Grievances Committee (CGC) for Dubai Government’s Employees is a central government committee that considers the grievances of civil servants working in government departments.
The brief was to design and build a workplace for CGC’s new headquarters relocating to the One Central building in DWTC, that comfortably accommodated the committee and echoed a supportive environment for grievance cases.
Designed in-house by the Summertown team, the new headquarters incorporates soft and comfortable lounge areas in the reception and central open green areas, and private individual offices and meeting rooms.
The majority of meeting rooms and offices we deliberately positioned on the perimeter of the space to capture the natural light and external greenery from the large glass windows. By utilising simple design solutions such as a subtle colour palette, soft textures, furnishings, and greenery, this collaborative new environment promotes positivity and a healthy workplace
