Dutch Design Center

Summertown Interiors was delighted to be part of the continued development of the Dutch Design Center with the completion of two new offices for founding partners Hunter Douglas and Keller Kitchens. The Dutch Design Center is a collaborative group of leading Dutch firms: Hunter Douglas, Keller Kitchens, Royal Ahrend and Skyne Branding & Design, strategically located in D3, Dubai Design District.

Summertown initially worked with Ahrend to complete its office fit out in the Dutch Design Center, helping them achieve LEED Gold certification, achieve a fit out space which reflects the attributes of activity based working (ABW).

Hunter Douglas, the world market leader in window coverings and a major manufacturer of architectural products, also commissioned Summertown to fit out their showroom space. Despite a limited budget and the small space, Summertown with its 20 years of experience delivered a modern showroom that displays their high quality proprietary products including ceilings and widow coverings

Concurrently Summertown worked on the Keller Kitchen fit out in Dutch Design Center. A Dutch born company, Keller Kitchens has been designing beautiful accessible kitchens for the past 80 years. The Keller Kitchens space was designed by Dutch designers Skyne, another partner of the Dutch Design Center, primarily for client meetings and to showcase their leading kitchen designs.

Summertown’s project team put in extraordinary efforts to complete these two fit out projects simultaneously before the opening of the Dutch Design Center.
